Then start as a Communications Trainee at Bayer: During the two-year trainee program, you will take responsibility for our internal and external communication channels, develop cross-media content, and advance our mission "Health for all, Hunger for none" together with an international, diverse team full of energy and curiosity.
Trainee Program Overview
The trainee program in Communications starts in your home team, where you spend most of your time. During the course of the first year, you complete a rotation across several stations to gain broader insights. The rotation shown below is only an example — schedule, duration and assignments are adapted individually according to upcoming project requirements and your needs. During the entire trainee program, you will be supported by a personal mentor, receive both group and individual trainings, and take part in internal and external exchange formats.
The trainee program offers me the opportunity to get to know the diverse areas of corporate communications at Bayer. As part of an international team, I can contribute my ideas, learn from experienced colleagues, and support projects with a global impact.
For me, the traineeship was about continuously growing through new challenges and developing both professionally and personally. The Dynamic Shared Ownership Model in particular made it possible to actively shape my own development and contribute to a wide range of projects—something I truly valued during the program. A definite highlight? The international internship!

Not only does it offer the opportunity to work in other cities, but also the chance to experience the diversity of communication in the three divisions of Bayer, get to know the teams, and build your own network that you can fall back on at any time.
I truly value the opportunities the trainee gives: handson ownership of projects, quick visibility of outcomes, and collaboration in crossfunctional international teams. I’m trusted with real responsibility from day one — that trust makes the traineeship highly motivating and the learning curve steep and practical.
